No. LPBEPI is a blended programme built around live online engagement, brought together by an immersive module on campus. Live sessions are held every Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the programme includes a 5-day immersion at IIM Calcutta comprising 30 contact hours, scheduled towards the beginning of the six months.
The online sessions sustain weekly engagement with faculty and cohort without requiring you to step away from your role; the campus days are where that thinking is tested in person, in front of faculty who challenge it and peers carrying comparable responsibility.
By design. Meeting the cohort in person early allows the working relationships formed on campus to carry through the rest of the programme, rather than being introduced only once it concludes. It also means the self-awareness and reinvention work in the opening modules is grounded in the room with faculty before the programme moves into stakeholder influence and political skill.
LPBEPI is built for a specific kind of leader — senior professionals with revenue, leadership or large client-facing responsibility, and entrepreneurs or founders preparing their organisation for its next stage of growth. Every participant brings at least 10 years of professional experience after graduation. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee at IIM Calcutta based on educational background, professional experience and the motivation reflected in the application — not every application is accepted.
Eligible participants receive a Certificate of Completion from IIM Calcutta. You are evaluated through examinations, assignments and projects across all courses, and graded as Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor. Participants with no more than two "Poor" grades receive a certificate with course-wise grades recorded; those with more than two receive a certificate of participation, without grades shown. Attendance during the campus immersion, where held, and submission of programme feedback are both required for successful completion.

This isn't a formality — the five days on campus are where the programme's thinking is examined in the room, and where the cohort relationships that extend beyond the six months are formed.
A general management programme broadens what you know across business functions. LPBEPI works on how you are read, trusted and followed. The curriculum is built around executive presence, stakeholder influence, political intelligence and authentic leadership — including a dedicated module on organisational politics, influence tactics and communicating with CXOs and boards, a subject most leadership programmes avoid altogether.
Yes, provided you meet the education and experience criteria — a graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks, and at least 10 years of professional experience after graduation as a working executive. The programme is built around leadership responsibility rather than job title, and applications from founders and independent operators are welcome.

The Executive Presence Training programme from IIM Calcutta is a six-month blended leadership journey for experienced executives, entrepreneurs, and founders ready to lead with greater confidence, credibility, and influence. Designed for professionals with at least 10 years of post-graduation experience, the programme combines live online learning with a five-day campus immersion at IIM Calcutta. Participants move from self-awareness and ownership to inspiring teams, building alignment, navigating conflict, negotiating effectively, and influencing stakeholders across the enterprise. The curriculum also develops storytelling, persuasion, high-impact presentation skills, emotional intelligence, inclusive leadership, political skill, and communication with CXOs and board members. Through faculty-led sessions, assignments, examinations, and applied projects, learners strengthen their executive presence and decision-making abilities. On successful completion, eligible participants receive a Certificate of Completion from IIM Calcutta, supporting their next leap in leadership.
